Ljubljana’s POT

POT is the Slovene name for the Path of Remembrance and Comradeship, which is a 32.5 km trail around Ljubljana. It follows the formerly barbed wired loop that was used by the occupying forces during the Second World War to enclose Ljubljana, cutting off contact between the city and its rural hinterland.

Nowadays this looping path grants Ljubljana one of its most popular and most visited recreational venues. Walking, running, cycling or cross-country skiing in the winter, the choice is yours, weather permitting, of course.
