Plečnik house

Jože Plečnik was a Slovene architect and he had a very big impact on the modern identity of Ljubljana. He designed the Triple bridge (near our H2O Hostel), the Slovene National and University Library building, the embankments along the Ljubljanica river, the Ljubljana cemetery etc.

His house was recently renovated and now it is again opened for all who want to see the house where he worked in lived. In the house you can see the original furniture, library, his personal belongings, sketches, photographs etc. The novelty is the permanent exhibition which is divided in two parts: his private life and his work in Ljubljana, Vienna and Prague.

The house is opened Tuesday to Sunday 10.00 – 18.00. It is closed on some public holidays so check the schedule in advance.
